MoCA Adapters work by creating a point-to-point Ethernet-over-coax connection. This means that you need a MoCA adapter at both ends of the connection, unless your router already has MoCA built in.
Your router does NOT have built-in MoCA. (Most routers don’t.)
You’re creating a wired connection between rooms via coax.
You’re using the adapters to backhaul a mesh WiFi system.
Your router has built-in MoCA and is connected to a live coax outlet.
You only need to connect one remote device via coax.
Look for the word "MoCA" printed near the coaxial port.
Check your router’s manual or manufacturer's website for specs.
Call your ISP or check your router model online.
If you're unsure, the safest option is to order a 2-pack of HTEM4 adapters.
