How to Access the GUI on Your CODA Cable Modem | Troubleshooting Guide

How do I access the GUI on the CODA?

Notes
The GUI of Hitron’s CODA can only be accessed with firmware version 7.3.5.0.1b2 or later. This firmware can only be provided by your ISP because, according to DOCSIS standards, it is the Service Provider that must distribute firmware updates to the cable modems on their network. Thus, Hitron cannot offer end-users a direct download of the firmware for its cable modems. Instead, the firmware is handed over to the Service Provider who then tests and distributes the firmware to the cable modems that are connected to their network.

What you will need

  • Laptop or computer directly connected via Ethernet to the cable modem. Configure the laptop/computer with a STATIC IP set to the 192.168.100.x subnet (see links below)

Static IP for MacIntosh

Static IP for Windows

Steps to Access the GUI

Step 1: Turn on the CODA modem.

Step 2: Use an Ethernet Cable to connect the laptop/computer to the CODA modem directly.

Step 3: From the Laptop/computer, open any browser to go to https://192.168.100.1

Step 4: You should see a Status menu

The Status menu contains the following sections:

  1. System Information
  2. DOCSIS WAN
  3. LAN Port Status

Status:  System Information

The System Information screen displays general information about your CODA’s hardware, software, and its connection to the Internet.

Status:  DOCSIS WAN

Displays both Upstream and Downstream signal parameters, including OFDM Downstream & Upstream Overview, and OFDMA Upstream Overview.

Status:  LAN Port Status

Displays LAN port status, speed and Duplex status for each LAN port.
