Connecting the HTEM4 MoCA Adapter with an Existing Coax Cable: Troubleshooting Guide

How to connect the HTEM4 MoCA Adapter when there is another coax cable connected to the coax wall outlet

  1. Locate the wall outlet where your Internet or cable signal enters your home.

  2. Connect a coaxial cable from this wall outlet to the In/Input Port of a two-way splitter.

  3. From the splitter, connect one coaxial cable to your modem/router to provide Internet access.

  4. Connect another coaxial cable from the splitter to the top port of the HT-EM4 adapter.

  5. In another room where you want Internet access, connect a coaxial cable from the wall outlet to the top port of the MoCA adapter.

  6. From the MoCA adapter, connect an Ethernet cable to your computer, smart TV, or other desired Ethernet device.
Note: If you have a coaxial set-top box for television, connect it to the second port of the MoCA adapter.

These steps allow you to use your home's existing coaxial wiring to distribute internet connectivity and, if needed, television signals throughout your home.
