Why is my connection speed so slow when using the HTEM5?

If you are experiencing performance/throughput issues with the connection to your HTEM5, you should validate the following:

  1. Run a speed test of your incoming broadband service to ensure that the broadband service is healthy.

  2. Check for faulty/outdated/incompatible coax splitters and connections within your MoCA network that may be restricting speeds.

  3. Check that other devices connected to your MoCA network are not hoarding available bandwidth.

  4. Check that the Ethernet cable is Cat5E/6 compliant.

  5. Check to confirm that your device has a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port (2500Mbps).
