Solution:
The best way to address this problem is to perform a power cycle on your WiFi router. Follow these steps to power cycle your router
Steps to Power Cycle Your WiFi Router:
Step 1: Turn Off Your Modem
Remove the black Power Cord from the back of the modem.
Step 2: Turn Off Your WiFi Router
- Find the power button on your WiFi router, which will likely be either on the rear or top of the router.
- Press the power button to turn off the WiFi router.
- Alternatively, you can also disconnect the router’s Power Cord from the power outlet
Step 3: Wait for 30 Seconds

It is important that the modem and WiFi router are turned off for at least 30 seconds. This step is crucial to ensure that the modem and router completely reset and clear their previous IP address settings.
Step 4: Turn On Your Modem
- The black Power Cord should be plugged into the back of the modem and then into a power outlet.
Step 5: Turn On Your WiFi Router
- Press the power button again to switch on the WiFi router.
- If you had unplugged the router, then insert the router’s Power Cord into the power outlet.
Step 6: Allow the Modem and WiFi Router to Reboot
Let the modem and router boot up completely. This process may take a few minutes. The router will then come online and attempt to establish a connection with the Hitron CODA modem and ask for a new LAN IP address.
Step 7: Check Your WiFi Connection
After the router has finished rebooting, check your WiFi connection on your devices. Confirm that your devices are connected to the right WiFi network and that the connection is strong.
